Ekavart Gallery Hosted the Exhibition of Bubi

EKAV / Education, Culture and Research Foundation hosts outstanding artist Bubi's “Bubi x Bubi” exhibition from October 24th to November 24th at the Ekavart Gallery. The artist’s new “BUBI” book, written by Ali Şimşek and designed by Savaş Çekiç, is also present for artlovers.

What can be said about Bubi's poetics?

By Ali Şimsek's statement:

Cubes, reliefs, shoddy, rubbish, dirt, rust, tears, weirdness, confusion... Bubi's work speaks with a “primitive” whisper from the depths of ancient ages, such as totems that contend with the formless smoothness and proportional beauty of civilization.

Sediment... trying to talk to you in the middle of what you've got. Another geography beyond Restlessness of civilization. Unfinished life. Palimpsest!

It is the wild waste that is “visible” in the works of Bubi, which thaws and lodges. The rich “uncanny” ocean beyond the “pedestal” and “beautiful” that Egypt and Greg have inflicted upon me. Like the monoliths erected in our presence, the word “silent”, accumulated in thousands of years both vertically and horizontally.

Yes, what can be said about the “poetics” beyond the deep silence? The knot points that come to mind in the first intuition and carry all the civilization. A great humanity, animal, land, bounty, bug day that has come out in a clap... Nod!

To look back on Bubi's recent works... This view is to think of a constantly changing poetics, plastic and surface understanding.
